2018 Classic Hat March — No. 3

Greetings and salutations Hattingdon fans. It is I, the slightly whimsical and always hatted one, who loves to make you smile. It’s why I do what I do. And Mrs Farrell too! We loooooooooooooove to make you smile. A few chuckles is even better. Squeeeeeeeeee!

So what is your number three all time favourite classic hat?

Well. Spring has sprung in our part of the world although it is very late in showing up with some unexpected snowy days mixed in along the way.

This darling hat is perfect a perfect wintry look.

It has always been highly beloved and a top seller. We are are not surprised that it finished in the top three and by a considerable margin too. It was so nearly number 2!

Here’s a poetic hint. You know I loooooooooooooove poetry.

The vapor rises
high in the sky, tossing to and fro,
then freezes, suddenly, and crystalizes
into a perfect flake of miraculous snow.
For countless miles, drifting east above
the world, whirling about in a swirling free-
for-all, appearing aimless, just like love,
but sensing, seeking out, its destiny.

Line of 8 Black SquaresSigh. So lovely.

Tomorrow we reveal the number two hat. Then Friday we will know the overall winner.

Twenty hats seems like a lot of hats to countdown, yet there are so many it took us ages to narrow it down to 20. We didn’t seem to be able to have 10 or even 15 without disappointing a lot of people.

Even with 20 there were a lot of really cool classic hats left out. And then we decided to do five a week because that many hats back to back for 20 straight days, well…. just in case you’ve been wondering.
