Flashback Friday: Sachi

Greetings and salutations. It’s Friday. Hooraaaayeeeeeeeeee. ♥

How about a Flashback Friday hat. Mrs Farrell chose Sachi. It’s one of her favourite hat designs ever. I love it too.

Mrs Farrell has been designing hats for me for 10 years. Inspired by the country of Japan, the Sachi hat was originally created around 2009. I modeled my early hats with no mane. I am modeling it today as seen here with my new look mane.

Mrs Farrell spent several months as a child in Japan and has fond memories of that time which is reflected in this hat.

The Sachi hat has an origami feel to it which she loves, and is also inspired by the headdresses worn in Japan throughout its history. The green reflects Mrs Farrell’s love of the beautiful Japanese countryside.

Sachi is a common short form of the name Sachiko and a fairly common Japanese feminine name meaning “child of bliss.” It also means “happiness” when it is written with the kanji characters 幸子.

I am away for the weekend. More on that later! See you back here Monday.
