Hello it’s me Hattingdon. Happy Saturday!
I thought I would share my diary entries from my Sundance trip since I hinted that something very exciting happened. And it did.
I’ll share some hats with you too of course. Here we go …!
January 26, 2018
I’m leaving today to go to the Sundance Film Festival. My friend, Jackie, got tickets and we are going to go see a couple of the films. I think one is a documentary and I’m not sure what else Jackie wants to see.
It should be really beautiful, but cold in Utah. There are several places to stay, but Jackie already made reservations for us.
We are also going to Park City. I understand the night life is quite exciting. Hopefully we will get to see some famous people. That would really be exciting. I can’t wait.
I will wear my Dancing Sun ballcap hat while traveling and casual activities. But I also brought other hats for shopping, dining, and attending the movies …. and skiing of course! Lots of hats for skiing!
Speaking of skiing. Here are some of the hats I am taking to wear on the slopes and in the lodge.
I have had the Aspen hat for a very long time. It is such a smart look I decided to get it out and take it too.
I also packed these two favorites, Hannah (which Mrs. Farrell created for me the following year), and the very positive Hilary ski cap. Aren’t they delightful? I was in a purple mood that year it seems. Or was it Mrs. Farrell who was ….?
For those of you who have been following me a long time you will have fond memories of some of these hats. I know I do.
For certain, no one on the slopes will look like me, will they?
Oh my stars! Almost forgot Flap. You know I must have my Flap winter hat in case it gets particularly frosty.
Well, away we gooooooooooooooo!

Well, the Sundance Film Festival ended today. Jackie and I saw so many wonderful movies, people, and sites.
We shopped, and of course, I wore my Darcy hat. I also bought some souvenirs to remember my trip.
The restaurants were great. And we had so much fun going to Park City one evening for dinner. Then we went to a Pub and played darts and chatted with some travelers from Germany. They said that we need to go to Bavaria and enjoy the mountains there.
Well, we are ready for another exciting day.

Yesterday was a red letter day. I have something so exciting to report.
In the morning, Jackie and I each strapped on a pair of skis and went up the mountain to ski. And who do we see? It’s Robert Redford!
I guess he was ready for a little peace and quiet on the mountain after all of the Festival hubbub. We saw him as we were all getting ready to head down the mountain.
He looked over at me. He probably noticed my fabulous hat that I had decided to wear for my skiing adventure. He couldn’t seem to take his eyes off me. I know I am stunning but still …. hmmm.
I would have loved to talk to him. You know, he is a big horse enthusiast. But I decided that he had probably had several weeks of people wanting his attention. So, I just nodded to him and fluttered my luxurious lashes at him just a tiny bit. He nodded back.
Then off we both went on our skis. Enjoying just gliding on the snow on our first trip down the mountain.
Of course, what he doesn’t know is that I slipped my business card to one of his associates.
I hope that he will use me in one of the many independent films he directs or produces. I would love to work with him. You never know. Anything could happen.
The skiing was thrilling, but seeing Robert Redford was an even bigger thrill. I wonder …. sigh!
I head back to Louisville today. And boy, will I have something to tell my multitudinous fans. I can’t wait.

It’s true. It’s true. This is a sign. Look what came in the mail. He loves me. How can he not?
So long for now dear ones. Have gone to have a lie down on my fainting couch.
