HATTINGDON HOUSE (by Vivian) — When I was talking textures, foils and bling in the previous post I mentioned that Marcus, Hattingdon and Curtis would be here for a photo op.
Here they are all a-glitter.
Look great don’t they?
After a while Curtis decided he wanted to try something brighter, rougher hewn and a bit more urban regarding his jewelry. He made it clear he didn’t want anything flash. He leaves that to cousin Marcus.
I got it. And created this look for him.
Next up, Marcus — and we all knew this was coming — decided he wanted a black leather ballcap.
After experimenting with many types of leathers I chose a punched black leather for the crown. For contrast and interest I opted for a black felted wool for the brim.
I re-created Marcus’s signature key earring in the same distressed gold as Curtis’s ornamentation. Marcus insisted that his letter “M” still be emblazoned on the crown and I went with it. Well? I think he looks extremely handsome.
I do admit — this is a lot of look. It is Marcus, but it also has “Vivian” written all over it. I love menswear, mixing textures and using luxurious textiles. And Marcus, true to form, pulls it off.
Great look for winter don’t you think? Wow!
How will it print? I am not certain. I created and ordered an ash grey and a heathered grey sweatshirt with this design. Our online vendor Zazzle use precision digital printing so it should be just fine. At the same time they are not miracle workers. This type of design may be best left to paper products. We’ll let you know!
Meanwhile, Hattingdon had to get into the picture. Naturally! Here she is with Marcus in a croco black patent leather turban. How chic are we getting around here at Hattingdon House?
This is certain to bring you a “hatful of smiles”, eh?!!?
Bye for now!
P.S. No animals were stressed or harmed in the making or wearing of these hats (smile). It’s all imitation. And just for fun.
