Today, July 1, 2017, is an extra special Canada Day. It marks the 150th anniversary of Canada’s Confederation (marketed as Canada 150). There are many festivities taking place across the country.
Hattingdon wishes all Canadians a safe and happy day full of fabulousness.
Speaking of fabulousness, Hattingdon had to have a special hat. Well, as it turns out, she ended up with two variations of the Justine hat to choose from, as you will see coming up.
We named the Canada Day 150 hat design Justine in honour of Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
The Hattingdon® Justine Hat, Version One
Ever since Royal Ascot Hattingdon seems to want to wear nothing but perchers. And that is what she is wearing here today. There is something going on with Hattingdon and Royal Ascot. She has been in a sulk ever since. Our curiosity was particularly aroused when Hattingdon mentioned she is glad Her Majesty the Queen is not in Canada where they might see each other.
Oh well, she need not worry as Prince Charles and Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, are representing England in Canada. We hope Hattingdon behaves herself if she sees them!
Not to worry. Hattingdon seems to be back to her usual jolly self today. Hattingdon loves a good celebration and getting new hats.
Per your request, here’s a commemorative mug featuring Hattingdon’s Justine hat (version one).
The Hattingdon® Justine Hat, Version Two
Many of you loved version one of this design. Thank you! However, some Hattingdonians thought the stem too long. Many thought it should have no stem at all.
So here is a different take on the Justine design and one that you seem to heartily approve of. We do too. It is delightful.
What could we do we do but make a commemorative mug featuring version two of the Justine hat.
Whew! What a day. So glad we got through it all. Thanks everyone.
