Olympia Hattingdon with sunglasses redux

Long, long ago in a city faraway I created a hat wearing cartoon horse called Hattingdon. One of her more avant garde hat designs is called Hester.

A dear friend of mine — Dan of Austin — responded with the challenge, “If anyone ever buys that I’ll eat all of Hattingdon’s hats”. I laughed and thought he might be right. But we were both wrong. A wonderful lady in Bonn, Germany called Ada began collecting the Hester design on just about every product we ever put Hester on. Then other folks in Germany began buying the Hester design. So Dan had a lot of hat eating to do.

What does that story have to do with our Olympic rings sunglasses wearing gal Olympia Hattingdon that caused such a stir?

Ada loved the design. But she had a suggestion. Why not make the scarf the brightest hottest pink in the pantheon of hex codes and see how the design looked. She rightfully predicted that it would make the design really dazzle.

Now what do you think? I am crazy about it. Or maybe just plain crazy! It makes me laugh. I know we talk a lot about smiles here and they are wonderful and health giving and simply feel really good. But making people laugh? I think that is the very best of all.

We have sent a lovely thank you gift to Ada. It’s winging it’s way to you now dear one.

In the meantime I thought I would share it with you.

Cheers,
