Cagney fedora design update side by side

I used to drive both my husband and my father nuts. I am the one who after decorating the Christmas tree sits down with a cuppa, looks at it and gets up every few minutes to make this little change or that trying to achieve the ideal balance — to my eye at least. My dad retreated to his man cave. My mild, usually unperturbed husband would say, “If you get up one more time and change one more thing I am going to throw the tree out”.

Guess what? I do that with my Hattingdon designs too. Examining them; tinkering with them trying to improve the design.

Some of it is that my Photoshop skills — which were virtually non existent when I started — have improved leaps and bounds over the years so I am able to realize the design I had in my mind’s eye so much better. Some of it is I just can’t leave things alone (smile).

I always wanted a fedora for Hattingdon but couldn’t achieve the look I wanted. Finally I came up with one I thought very cute. And I still do. But I have reimagined it a bit and now I can’t decide which style I prefer.

Here they are side by side in my three favorite colorways. The 2015 version is one the left; 2016 is on the right. What do you think?
